PIC16F877 based motor driver for electro mobile
Driving electric vehicle is great experience. Probably high torque and greener energy motivates enthusiasts to rebuild their own fuel based cars in to electric ones. Speaking of batteries and motors you cannot do much about it – motors a precise and effective enough. Batteries you are limited by technology and price of course. As electronics engineer you can play with motor controller around. It is essential part of correct vehicle operation. Jstaubel have put some efforts in building a motor controller based on PIC16F877 microcontroller. It has programmable current limit, automatic over temperature limit. IGBT transistors are water cooled what allows them with withstand high current loads. If you really interested and want want more details. Be sure to visit project page....
